James Vickary is a seasoned Digital Marketing Director and Social Media Manager with over a decade of experience driving engagement, brand visibility, and conversions across diverse industries. James is passionate about developing innovative marketing solutions and building impactful online communities that deliver measurable business results.
James began his career at Los Angeles’s premier hip-hop station, Power 106 FM, where he quickly advanced from a Programming Intern to Digital Content Producer. In this role, he managed content for renowned radio personalities and executed campaigns to boost audience awareness and engagement. Building on his success, he transitioned into tour management, overseeing 200+ live events annually for high-profile clients, including Eric Dlux and collaborations with brands like SiriusXM, FILA, and Don Julio Tequila. His expertise in logistics, e-commerce, and artist relations set the foundation for his multifaceted marketing career.
Currently, James serves as the Digital Marketing Director and Social Media Manager for Headliner Music Club (HMC), a Los Angeles-based DJ collective. Since joining HMC in 2016, he has spearheaded the organization’s digital ecosystem, growing B2C content marketing and organizing exclusive member events featuring top artists such as Post Malone, Ty Dolla $ign, and DJ Snake. His leadership in managing partnerships with major record labels like Def Jam and Republic Records has resulted in 40+ successful events and a significant increase in audience engagement and retention.
In addition to his professional accomplishments, James has collaborated with global brands and managed freelance projects, including graphic design and social media management for agencies and artists. His technical expertise spans tools like Adobe Creative Suite, Google Analytics, and project management platforms, complemented by certifications in Digital Product Management and Google Project Management. James is driven by a commitment to excellence, leveraging his creativity and analytical mindset to deliver results that align with organizational goals and elevate brand identity.
